A Pretty May Evening

Hello once again, blog readers!  This evening on the ranch I went out with my Canon camera and took pictures of the growing plants and animals.

The other day my pigeon needed some time to fly around and so I let her come into the house afterwards.  Here I stand holding my pigeon, Pigeon (left); 1520, blue parakeet (right); and Leonardo Dove Vinci, dove (front right).  They are pretty good friends even though their sizes very greatly.

Red Bud tree losing red buds and growing leaves.

Here sits Juniory.

T. Cat, as we call him, is a tame stray cat.  He showed up a few weeks ago, got chased by Big J.'s dog, but stuck around.  Today he showed himself to us for the third time.  He's such a pretty, big Tom cat.

We got some tomatoes, squash, okra, radishes (we planted them a few weeks ago), celery, and cucumbers in the garden today.  So, if the weather plays fair with us and the plants live, we should have nice veggies in the days to come.  I'm excited about that for sure.

Here are some kinds of squash that decided to grow from some rotting squash from last year; which is all fine and dandy, but they are growing in the compost tub.  Oh well, we can always transplant them.

Here is one of my newest baby critters.  Let's hope this pigeon does better than its siblings this spring.

Till later then!  From the ranch...  : )
